Frequently Asked Questions

Your Restoration Questions, Answered

Common questions about water damage, fire restoration, insurance claims, and our process. Still need help? Call us at (404) 487-6162.

Emergency Response & Process

How fast can you respond to a water damage emergency?

We respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. From our Decatur base, our team typically arrives on-site within an hour for metro Atlanta emergencies. Faster response time means less damage, less mold risk, and lower restoration costs.

What should I do immediately after water damage?

Stop the water source if you can do so safely. Turn off electricity to affected areas. Move valuables to higher ground if possible. Take photos of the damage for insurance. Then call us at (404) 487-6162. Do not attempt major cleanup yourself, as improper handling can worsen damage and complicate insurance claims.

How long does the restoration process take?

Timing depends on the severity of damage. Initial water extraction and drying typically takes three to five days. Full restoration including reconstruction can range from one week for minor damage to several weeks for major projects. We provide a clear timeline during our initial assessment.

What is the difference between water mitigation and water damage restoration?

Water mitigation is the emergency response phase that stops further damage. This includes water extraction, drying, and dehumidification. Restoration is the rebuild phase that returns your home to its pre-loss condition. This includes replacing drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finishes. We handle both phases under one roof.

Insurance & Billing

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. We work with all major insurance carriers including State Farm, Allstate, USAA, Farmers, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Nationwide, and Chubb. We bill your carrier directly so you do not have to manage the payment process.

Will my insurance cover water damage restoration?

Most standard homeowners policies cover sudden and accidental water damage such as burst pipes, appliance failures, or roof leaks from storms. Damage from long-term leaks, lack of maintenance, or flooding from outside the home typically requires flood insurance for coverage. We help you understand your policy and document the claim properly.

Do I need to pay upfront for restoration services?

For insurance-covered work, you typically pay only your deductible. We bill the insurance company directly for the rest. For non-insurance projects, we provide a clear estimate before work begins and discuss payment structure that works for you.

How do you handle the insurance claim process?

We coordinate with your insurance adjuster from the first call. We document all damage with photos and detailed reports. We provide line-item estimates that meet insurance requirements. We communicate with the adjuster throughout the project. This means less paperwork and stress for you.
